Wire Transfers

Wire transfers can be sent to, and received from, other financial institutions.

Sending Wires

CapEd can wire funds to institutions that are able to receive the wired funds. You must provide CapEd with the receiving institution's instructions.

Information Needed to Send a Wire

  • Name of the financial institution
  • ABA/Routing number of the financial institution
  • Beneficiary name, address, and account number
  • General purpose of the wire
  • Amount of the wire
  • The account the funds are coming from
  • Your current address
  • Any reference that would need to be indicated in the wire


Domestic: There is a 1:00pm Mountain Time deadline for a same-day, domestic wire.
International: There is an 1:00pm Mountain Time deadline for a same-day, international wire.


The fee for outgoing wires is $25 on domestic wires and $50 on international wires.

Receiving Wires

Please give the originating financial institution the following instructions for domestic wires. For CapEd to receive international wires, the foreign financial institution must have ties to a domestic financial institution.
