Read to Rise
Reading Program
The Read to Rise Reading Program encourages childhood literacy in elementary school classrooms. You can participate by contacting our Brand Engagement specialists about hosting a library literacy/reading event or book reading session.

How do Schools Participate in the Read to Rise Reading Program?
Elementary schools can participate in CapEd's free Read to Rise Reading Program through one of these two paths:

Invite CapEd to participate in your elementary school's library literacy/reading event.
- Ed Word the Bookworm™ may make an appearance at the event and read to the students if schedules and location allows.
- Ed Word also speaks Spanish and can be requested for Spanish bilingual school literacy events.

If a school library literacy/reading event isn't an option for your school, your students can enjoy a recorded book reading in English and/or Spanish by CapEd's very own, Ed Word the Bookworm™, during their reading time in the library.
Participation in this year's Read to Rise Reading Program is open from
September 1, 2026 – February 28, 2027
