It has come to our attention that fraudulent accounts were recently created on Facebook Messenger by individuals purporting to be representatives of the 'IdahocapEdFoundation' and the 'IdahocapEdgrantfoundation.' These are not accounts associated with CapEd Credit Union, nor are they associated with the legitimate Idaho CapEd Foundation.

We have instructed the individuals who received these messages not to click on any links, nor to reply to any messages from these accounts. The Idaho CapEd Foundation does not contact individuals through Facebook Messenger, so if you have received a similar message, or if you receive a Facebook message in the future from someone saying they are from the Idaho CapEd Foundation, please follow the same precautions and then report the account to Facebook immediately by following Facebook's instructions for how to report someone pretending to be someone else on Facebook Messenger.

It is our highest priority to protect our members' and social media followers' personal identifiable information and we take this situation very seriously. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Member Services Team at (208)884-0150.
