Rise Youth And Young Adult Savings Account
This isn't just a savings account for kids. CapEd Credit Union is excited to help empower children and young adults to save and advance their financial wellness with the Rise Youth and Young Adult Savings. Users can create a solid foundation for their future with the financial benefits and educational resources provided in this one-of-a-kind savings account.
The Rise Youth and Young Adult Savings is an insured, dividend-paying account for young savers, newborn through age 25. It is specially designed to educate our younger members on the importance of saving money. The more they save, the more they're rewarded.
Why else is this savings account great for kids?
We want to help our members succeed in every stage of life. That's why the following features and benefits of this account were created to celebrate young savers for their dedication to saving and their membership at CapEd Credit Union.
Account Opening Gift/Account Reward Gifts
Can you say swag? Young savers are welcomed to our Credit Union with an account opening gift.
Primary Account Ownership
Help your kids understand ownership and responsibility. With this savings account, the child is the primary account owner and their parent or guardian is the joint account owner. Youth age 16 and older are not required to have a joint on the account.
Opening Deposit Match
Rise Youth and Young Adult Savings members will receive a savings match up to $25 on deposits made within the first 30 days of account opening. CapEd will deposit the match into the account for money saved beyond the $5 membership minimum deposit.
Birthday Message + Gift
More free stuff? CapEd's young savers will receive a birthday gift each year that can be picked up at any CapEd Credit Union branch.
Annual Big Saver Reward
Remember your account opening date! After 12 months of account opening, and on each anniversary afterward, when a Rise Youth and Young Adult Savings member saves big (at least $500 within that year), they will receive a $10 automatic deposit into their account. Or, if they're an even bigger saver ($1000 or more within that year), they'll earn a $20 reward!2
Savings Punch Card & Gift
More swag! At account opening, young savers will receive a physical savings punch card. Ten savings "punches" will earn them another gift that can be picked up at any CapEd branch! As a companion to the physical card, savings are also tracked in the Rise App. As Rise Youth and Young Adult Savings members save, they earn virtual trophies and are notified when it's time to visit a branch to receive a prize.
