You can now easily request to advance funds from your Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) to be deposited directly into either your CapEd checking or savings account. This quick guide will show you how to take advantage of this convenient feature. We'll walk you through the process step-by-step, giving you the power to put your home equity to work for you!
IMPORTANT: Funds are not automatically transferred to your checking account to cover overdraft purchases. You will need to request an advance from your HELOC to your checking account before using the funds.
How To Advance Funds from Your HELOC
- Log into CapEd eBanking online or through the app.
- Under the Home Equity Line of Credit loan, click View Transactions.
- The Online Mortgage Servicing System page displays.
- After a loading period, the Servicing Digital homepage will display.
- Click My Loan.
- Click Request Advance.
- Verify your identity, then the Request an Advance pop-up will appear
- In the pop-up, enter the advance amount you would like to request, select the account you'd like the advance deposited in.
- If this is your first time using this feature, you will need to add your CapEd accounts by clicking Add Account. Continue to follow the steps below to successfully add your account information.
- Enter a Payment Method Nickname (Example: My Checking, My Savings).
- Enter the Account number
- Please enter your CapEd membership account number and the 4-digit checking or savings share ID with the leading zero(s). Do not insert a dash between the account number and share ID. Example: Account number 999999, followed by the Share ID 0100 would be displayed as 9999990100 in the account number window.
Please Note: Deposits cannot be made to a Business, Certificate, IRA, Medical or Money Market account.
- To locate the account number in eBanking, click on the applicable account tile, then click the Eyeball icon next to the shortened account number. The full account number and Share ID will display.
- Your account is now added as an option to select.
- To continue with the advance, choose the account you'd like to transfer into: Checking or Savings.
- Click Save.
- Review the details of the advance and accept the Terms and Conditions.
- Click continue.
- A success confirmation pop-up will appear next.
- You will also receive a confirmation email.
- Funds will automatically be deposited into the chosen account.
